According to International Relations Office of NCC, the 3rd ECO Geomatics Committee Meeting was held on October 18, 2021, in the form of a webinar in English by the International Relations Office of NCC in cooperation with the technical departments of the organization.
 
In this meeting, Dr. Ali Soltanpour presented his report as the secretary of the ECO Geomatics Committee. In this report, he spoke about the performance of Iran during his tenure as secretary, including the successful holding of several training courses.
 
In this meeting, Eng. Hamed Moradian, Head of the International Relations Office of NCC, was elected as the chairman of the ECO Geomatics Committee. He thanked the efforts of the National Cartographic Center of Iran for successful holding of several training courses and also hosting the 3rd ECO Geomatics Committee Meeting. Besides, He thanked IR of Pakistan for holding the training course on SDI and asked all member countries to be more active in holding related training courses and participating in the courses.
 
In the following, Iran as the host country; announced his candidacy as the new secretary of ECO Geomatics Committee, and by a maximum vote, all participating members elected Dr. Soltanpour as the new secretary of the committee.
