According to the International Relations Office of NCC, the 3rd ECO Geomatics Committee Meeting was held on October 18, 2021, in the form of a webinar in English by the International Relations Office of NCC in cooperation with the technical departments of the organization.
 
Dr. Ali Javidaneh, Acting Director General of NCC, while welcoming the representatives of ECO member states at the 3rd ECO Geomatics Committee Meeting, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is self-sufficient in meeting its needs in the field of spatial information and National Cartographic Center of Iran is ready to export innovative technical and engineering services of spatial information knowledge abroad.
 
Stating that ECO has great potential to encourage all member states to share their experiences and support each other for sustainable development in the region, Acting Director General of NCC said: “Iran has localized spatial information and is now self-sufficient in meeting the needs of the country and ready to export innovative technical and engineering services abroad. In addition, Iran welcomes the request of all member countries to provide them with experiences and expertise in the field of Geomatics and is willing to cooperate in this field with member countries in the region”.
 
At the end of his speech, Dr. Javidaneh thanked the International Relations Office of NCC and ECO Secretariat for holding this international meeting and expressed hope that this meeting will lead to tangible results in the direction of sustainable development in the region.
