According to NCC News,  an international memorandum of understanding between the National Cartographic Center of Islamic Republic of Iran and the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan was signed in the presence of the Presidents of Iran and Tajikistan.

Dr. Ali Javidaneh, Director General of the National Cartographic Center of IRAN, signed a technical memorandum with the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the presence of the Presidents of Iran and Tajikistan at noon on May 30, 2022.
 
The memorandum of understanding(MOU) between the National Cartographic Center of Islamic Republic of Iran(NCC) and the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan  began with the presence of NCC in the meetings of the Joint Economic Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan at the Ministry of Energy.

After the presence of NCC in the last meeting of the Joint Economic Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan, NCC proposed the export of engineering technical services in spatial information and geomatics field to Tajikistan, which was warmly welcomed by Tajikistan.
 
Following the numerous follow-ups by International Office of NCC, the first meeting of the joint working group between NCC of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan was held online in May 2021. The joint memorandum was in line with the export of engineering technical services of NCC.
 
After finalizing the provisions of MOU  in NCC, the initial version of MOU was sent to the Tajik side, and through numerous correspondences between NCC and Tajik officials, after several months, NCC managed to reach a common ground in all paragraphs of MOU with the Tajik side.

Following the follow-up of the International Office of NCC, this memorandum was sent to the Legal Vice President and after the necessary amendments, it was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for final changes.

It is worth mentioning that MOU is in 11 paragraphs and focuses on providing guidance and technical and engineering advice Prepared by the State Committee of Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan. Senior officials of Iran and Tajikistan signed 17 documents of cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, trade, transportation, investment, new technologies, environment, sports, energy, judiciary, education and research and tourism in the presence of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and Emomali Rahmon. 
 
These documents were signed by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Mines and Trade, Petroleum, Roads and Urban Development, Energy, Economic Affairs and Finance, Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Justice, Sports and Youth Affairs, and Cooperation, Labour and Social Welfare, and Heads of the Exchange and Securities Organisation and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran and their Tajik counterparts.
