Iranian Delegation Engages with Ambassador in Seoul to Strengthen Geospatial Collaboration Ahead of UN-GGIM-AP

Seoul, South Korea – Prior to the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific (UN-GGIM-AP) session and elections, a high-level Iranian delegation held a meeting with Mr. Koozechi, the Iranian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea in Seoul.
During the meeting, Dr. Seyedaei, Director General of the National Cartographic Center (NCC) of Iran, provided a comprehensive overview of the NCC's capabilities, activities, and advanced equipment. Emphasizing the importance of geospatial information in sustainable development, he highlighted Iran's recent achievements in this field.
The second main topic of discussion focused on exploring potential bilateral cooperation and the role of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Korea in facilitating the procurement of modern surveying equipment. Both sides exchanged views on expanding technical and scientific collaborations in geomatics and leveraging cutting-edge global technologies.This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening scientific and technical relations between the Iran and South Korea and enhancing Iran's position in international geospatial information forums.
