According to NCC News,  to prepare a national economic atlas, the third specialized meeting was held with the presence of representatives of the NCC`s Department of GIS and SDI and Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran with the participation of 10 provinces representatives .

Simultaneously with the launch of the comprehensive foreign investment system, an important part of which is the Atlas and Investment Portal, the National Cartographic Center of IRAN cooperated with Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran in connection with the plan of monitoring the economic atlas systems of the provinces. 
 
In the first stage, the provinces of South Khorasan and Yazd, as the two top provinces, were examined by representatives of the NCC and in the third expert meeting, the representatives of the Department of GIS and SDI reviewed the economic atlas system of 10 provinces: (West Azerbaijan, Isfahan, Zanjan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Kurdistan, Yazd, Gilan, Hormozgan, Golestan), and explained in detail the strength and weaknesses of these systems as well as the basic requirements for participation in the National Geoportal.

The launch of the Investment Organization's sub-portal, under the National Geoportal, will facilitate the monitoring of non-confrontational zones for foreign investors. It was decided that the representatives of the Provincial Investment Organization, in cooperation with the representatives of the Plan and Budget Organization of the same province, take the necessary measures to participate in the investment sub-portal and submit their list of available and required layers to the National Cartographic Center of IRAN.
