Distinguished Honorees in 14th International Festival of Tehran University

According to the Public Relations Department of the National Cartographic Center of Iran, quoted from the International Cooperation and Engineering Services Export Office, the 14th International Festival of Tehran University was held on February 26, 2025, with the attendance of the university’s acting president, members of the board of directors, and ambassadors from foreign countries.
During the festival, Ramin Papi, Head of the National Geoportal Office, was honored as an Outstanding International Researcher for his remarkable contributions to the field. Among his notable achievements are the publication of 14 ISI-indexed articles and 4 book chapters in English, collaboration with international researchers and scientists, membership in scientific and editorial committees of international journals and conferences, organization of webinars and international lectures, implementation of cross-regional research and executive projects, and advisory roles for prominent international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The festival highlighted the importance of international collaboration in advancing research and innovation, and Papi’s recognition underscores Iran’s active role in global scientific and environmental initiatives. His work exemplifies the impact of cross-border partnerships in addressing critical challenges such as climate change, desertification, and sustainable development.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials, academics, and diplomats, reflecting the growing emphasis on fostering international ties in the fields of science, technology, and education.
