In order to issue the technical engineering services of National Cartographic Center (NCC):

Holding the First Webinar Between Ministry of Agriculture of Republic of Turkmenistan And NCC

According to NCC report, quoted from the international cooperation and Engineering Services Export office of NCC, after the request of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Turkmenistan from NCC to hold a webinar meeting with that ministry, with the coordination made by the legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of  Iran, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan and International Cooperation Office of NCC, the first webinar meeting with that ministry was held on Wednesday, March 01, 2023.

In this webinar, Dr. Sedighi, Technical and Spatial Information Production Deputy of NCC, Dr. Karimi, Supervision and Technical Control and Standards General Manager of NCC, Dr. Madd, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) General Manager of NCC, Eng. Habashi, Aerial Surveying, Spatial and Base Maps Deputy of NCC, and Eng. Moradian, head of international cooperation and engineering services office from NCC participated. Also, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended this meeting.

Mergen Yusebov, Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department, Goshut Shadverdiyov, Head of Land Cadastre and Geological Information Technology Department, Shabardi Khaliyov and Parman Hematliyov, senior experts of Land Cadastre Department from the Ministries of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan participated in this meeting. At first, after introducing the members of the meeting, Eng. Moradian introduced NCC and raised the readiness of this organization to export engineering services to Turkmenistan. Then the Turkman part expressed their needs in the fields of cadaster and Monitoring agricultural products through aerial, satellite or drone photos in detail.

Further, Dr. Sedighi, stating the 70-year history of NCC in maps and spatial information field, announced the ability of this organization to design and implement the GNSS network in Turkmenistan and said: "The urgent and primary need of Turkmenistan is to have a network of CORS stations to have accurate maps and coordinates to provide a suitable platform for taking the next steps."

 

Dr. Madad suggested the use of google map engine as the first step, and proposed it as a primary solution in response to their needs. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that NCC should send a letter in the fields of cooperation and the issuance of engineering services through diplomatic channels, to inform the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Turkmenistan. The Republic of Turkmenistan, expressing its satisfaction with this action, expressed its readiness to invite NCC to visit the Ministry and sign the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU). Embassy of the Republic the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, while thanking NCC for holding a very good technical meeting, informed about the full readiness of the embassy to follow up on the draft of the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU).
