According to NCC News, the 27th National Conference and Exhibition on Surveying Engineering (Geomatics 2023) was held on May 1, 2023 in Tehran at NCC as the venue. The aim is to display Iran's scientific achievements in the field of spatial information and exporting engineering services to the countries of the region on 1-2 May 2023. 

 

This important event showcases the existing capabilities and scientific findings in the surveying  field. The services and products are updated alongside the advanced technologies in the world and shine beside their foreign counterparts.

 

The Director General of the National Cartographic Center reported the activation of coastal and offshore hydrography platforms in the Persian Gulf. Ali Javidaneh said:"We can improve the capabilities of the country with minimal effort, so, we used the capacity of UAVs for mapping through the interactions we had with the Geographical Organization of the Armed Forces." 

 

Referring to the cooperation of the National Cartographic Center with the Space Agency, Javidaneh said: "Khayyam satellite images are used in line with the mapping organization's missions." He also said that the hydrography of the Persian Gulf has been fully implemented based on the standards.
