According to the International Relations Office of NCC, after the official invitation of ECO secretariat on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the enlargement of ECO member countries, Director General of NCC participated in the official ceremony of the 30th anniversary of ECO Expansion at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
In this ceremony, which was held at the official invitation of Mr. Khosro Nazeri the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) from the Director General of NCC, high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Hossein Amirabdollahian, participated.
 
This ceremony, which was held at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khosro Nazeri, the Secretary General of ECO, while thanking the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his presence, delivered the message of the President of Iran on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the expansion of ECO.
 
Further, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while referring to Iran's full support from the Economic Cooperation Organization, emphasized on the importance of this organization in the region as well as the importance of increasing the economic cooperation of ECO member countries.
 
It should be mentioned that National Cartographic Center of Iran is one of the active members of the Energy, Mineral and Environment Committee of ECO and has managed to hold several International specialized training courses for ECO member states so far. National Cartographic Center of Iran has been selected as the Secretary of the ECO Geomatics Committee for three consecutive periods.
 
At the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NCC is supposed to join another committee under the title of "Human Resources and Sustainable Development".
  
ECO has 10 members, including Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
