Presence of International Officials at 28th National Conference and Exhibition on Geomatics Engineering and Geospatial Information (Geomatics 2024)
According to NCC report, the 28th National Conference and Exhibition on Geomatics Engineering and Geospatial Information (Geomatics 2024) was held with the presence of ambassadors and international officials from different countries. Among them, the Military Naval and Air Attaché of the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the military attaché and the military-air attaché of the embassy of India, the first secretary of the embassy of Iraq and the first secretary of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran can be mentioned.
Nurlan Darimov, the Program Officer of ECO Geomatics Committee, Azarsa, the Senior Expert of Multilateral and International Economic Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the representative of the office, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Program Officer of Human Resources and Sustainable Development Committee of ECO, are also among those present at the conference who visited different parts of the exhibition to get familiar with the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of map and spatial information.
It is worth mentioning that the National Cartographic Center of Iran has taken effective steps in order to export technical and engineering services to other countries, including the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan and taking the initial steps to export technical and engineering services to Russia and Sri Lanka. It should be noted that the National Cartographic Center of Iran has active presence in international forums and is a member of Human Resources and Sustainable Development Committee, as well as the Energy, Minerals and Environment Committee of ECO. NCC is also a member of Executive Board and the chair of “Integrating Geospatial Information and Statistics” working group of the Regional Committee of United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific (UN-GGIM-AP).
