Remote Sensing Technology Training Course Held in Wuhan, China
According to the Public Relations Office of the National Cartographic Center, citing the Department of International Cooperation and Engineering Services Export, the Iran Remote Sensing Technology Training Course was held from December 9 to December 23, hosted by the Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications in China.Ms. Omti, Head of the Image Processing and Remote Sensing Department, Ms. Tahanpour, Head of the Photogrammetry Computation Department, and Ms. Sadeghian, Head of the Marine Chart Processing and Production Department, participated in this program. The course was organized with the support of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and implemented by the Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications. Representatives from the National Cartographic Center, the Plan and Budget Organization, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the Meteorological Organization, and the Environmental Protection Organization also attended.The main objectives of the program were to enhance the technical expertise of specialists in remote sensing technology, introduce participants to China’s latest advancements in this field, and establish a foundation for scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries. During the fourteen-day course, participants received training from Wuhan University professors on topics such as concepts and applications of satellite-based aquatic and urban remote sensing, fiber optics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the development of cybersecurity and cyber resilience. The program also included visits to Wuhan University, factories, and companies active in remote sensing technologies. At the conclusion of the course, participants were awarded completion certificates. This training program represents a valuable opportunity to expand joint cooperation in the field of remote sensing technology between Iran and Chin.
