The national atlases of the country have been published since 1991 in more than twenty titles, including population, agriculture, health, industry, energy, water, and other topics, and they show the distribution and trends of the macro indicators of the country with different graphic methods on maps and charts. The purpose of publishing national atlases is to help in planning and policy making in order to make correct and accurate decisions for the country.

One of the tasks of the National Cartographic Center is to promote the use of maps among people. The publication of maps in various subjects, including country divisions, tourism and city guides, is aimed at achieving this goal and providing standard map patterns and spatial information.
