Supervision and technical control over mapping services is one of the governmental duties of the National Cartographic Center (NCC). In this regard, all government mapping services contracts in the country are sent to the General Directorate of Supervision, Technical Control, and Standards of NCC. The process of supervision and technical control includes examining the technical content of the contract services description and providing necessary suggestions for its modification, monitoring during the performance of the contract service description, final technical quality control of work, and finally setting up the financial statement of contract services and presenting it along with the approved product to the employer. The services subject to technical supervision and control include: direct land surveying operations, photogrammetry operations, cadastral base maps, hydrographic operations, geodetic monitoring operations, spatial information systems, cartography maps from small to large scale and thematic maps.
